When you start up new muscle build workouts, you shoudn’t expect dramatic results right away. Building up muscle takes time and is certainly not something you want to rush into. Many programs for muscle build workouts claim that you will build up muscle fast with their workouts. Fast doesn’t mean a matter of days, nor does it mean a matter of weeks. Contrary to popular belief, you can build a lot of muscle within several muscles. However, in order to achieve the results you want, you have to do it right.

Steps to Build Up Muscle Fast Without Supplements

Despite what many people believe, you do not need to a single one of those numerous weight machines you find at the gym or any of those big, bulky machines people purchase as their home gym. These machines do not allow you to work all muscles, just the major muscle groups. Dumbbells are not only smaller (so they do not take up much space at all), the cause you to use more of your muscles. When you perform exercises with dumbbells, you use natural movements of your body, working all the muscles, unlike weight machines which do not.

Instead of working out a number of muscle groups each workout day, workout only one, however maximize the intensity of the workout. Perform several exercises focus on one particular muscle group one day and another the next day. These muscle building workouts will build up muscle fast because you will  have increased the intensity.

When performing exercises, you want to go slow. Focus on the tension, not the speed. In order to build up muscle fast, you want to maximize the tension in each rep by them slowly. A good rule to follow is – 2 seconds positive, 1 second hold, 3 seconds negative. This means, let’s say your performing a dumbbell press, you’re are laying on your back on a bench with a dumbbell in each hand. With your elbows at a e angle, push the dumbbells straight up till your arms are just about full extended without locking ( this should take 2 seconds), then hold for 1 seconds, then descend back down (negative) to the start position (this should take 3 seconds). By performing your workouts like this, you will notice your muscle working much hard and getting tired much quicker.

To make sure you are getting the most of each workout, be sure you are eating the proper diet. No, you do not need supplements to build up muscle fast, you just need a balanced diet with plenty of high quality protein and a proper workout routine.

There are many different muscle building workouts and it’s best to perform as many different ones as you can follow because you do not want your muscle to get used to the same exercise. Each workout session should consist of about 6 different exercises all focusing on the same muscle group. Then the next day, you perform different exercises for a different muscle group and so on.
